Bill Knight, senior Pastor

Rev. Bill Knight joined the FBCSF family in March of 2026 as interim pastor and then became our senior pastor in August of 2026.  Bill grew up in Metairie, Louisiana, and attended Auburn University, where he met his wife of 34 years, Susan. Upon graduation, he was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force, where he served for more than 29 years flying airlift and air refueling aircraft. After retiring from active duty, Bill was working as a defense contractor when he responded to God’s call to serve as a pastor. He studied at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary before completing his Master of Divinity degree at Liberty University. Bill and Susan live in Mobile, Alabama, and have three adult children and one granddaughter.


Rick Kelly, Associate Pastor & Music Minister

Rick returned home to the FBCSF family in January 2025.  He previously served her twice, for a total of 12 years and most recently served for 13 years as music minister at Snow Road Baptist Church. Rick worked in the engineering department of Alabama Power for 20 years, taught middle & high school math, owned Kelly's Graphic (t-shirts), and worked for an energy conservation company for 5 years.  Rick graduated from the University of Mobile with a BS in Mathematics, where he started his education studying Theology. Previously he accepted a vocal scholarship at the University of South Alabama and pursued a Music Degree.


Rick and his wife Cindy have been married 49 years, and have 3 wonderful adult children-Christin (Michael) Bumstead, Richard (Megan) Kelly, and Cari (Hugh) Fike.  They have 8 beautiful grandchildren-Collins, Lucy, Jackson, Lyle, Harper, Clara, Charlotte & Hugh Davis.  In his spare time, you can find Rick keeping up with his grandkid' activities, cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide, playing with his pups, working in the yard and enjoying his bird houses.

Jeremy Smith, Youth Minister

Jeremy joined the FBCSF staff in October 2023 as our youth minister. He is married to our Media Director, Garth, and they have three children - Gabi, Drew, and Lily. Jeremy's time in ministry began in the early 2000's when he participated in Master's Commission and then became a youth pastor. He moved into the secular workforce for about 20 years, and then felt the call back to ministry in 2023.  Jeremy has a heart for youth and the many struggles they face in today's world. His goal is to equip them to love God, love people, and let their lights shine bright for Him. Jeremy continues his full-time job in IT work, and in his free time, you will find him spending time with his family, working in the yard, and studying for new IT certifications.

Garth Smith, Media Director

Garth joined the FBCSF staff in January 2026 as our Media Director.  She is married to our youth pastor, Jeremy Smith, and they have 3 wonderful children-Gabi, Drew, and Lily.  Garth has been a teacher, librarian and administrator in the Baldwin County Public School System since 2004.  She eagerly creates new and engaging ways to promote the ministries and events of our church.  Garth holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Mobile and an M.S. in Educational Media and K-12 School Leadership certification, both from South Alabama.  In her free time, you will find Garth spending time with her family, playing with her dogs, or working crossword & sudoku puzzles.

Anne Sandberg, Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Anne was 3 years old when she and her family moved to Spanish Fort. Her parents, Lottie and Jim Brunson, were very active members of FBCSF until their deaths in 1999 and 2000. Anne accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at FBCSF at the age of 14 under Mrs. Cleo Megginson's youth ministry. She and her husband, Eric, were married here by Bro. Donald Berry in 1992.  They have two grown children: Sarah and Jimmy. Anne loves our church and is dedicated to helping it reach people for Christ.
