Robert M. Baker, Pastor

Bro. Robert joined the FBCSF family in June of 2019.  He has been in ministry for over 20 years serving in churches across Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas.  Robert has a B.S. in Christian Studies from Mississippi College and a M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He is married to Lisa and they have one daughter, Lillian.  Robert brings a servant's heart to the ministry of our church.  You will be blessed by his teaching and his pastoral care. In his free time, Robert loves to garden, spend time with his family, read, and eat good, southern, home-cooked food!

Ed Pickle, Interim Music Minister

Bro. Ed grew up in First Baptist Church in Natchez, MS and received Christ as his Savior on May 2, 1962. He started leading music while attending Mississippi College, leading the BSU Hour of Power Choir from 1971 to 1973. He is a retired CPA after a 30 year career in public practice. He previously has led music in a number of churches in Natchez and lower Alabama. He and his wife, Abbie moved from Natchez to the Eastern Shore in 2004. They have 3 grown children, Dwight, Kelly, and Nicole, and the world's top 5 grandchildren.

Jeremy Smith, Youth Minister

Jeremy joined the FBCSF staff in October 2023 as our youth minister. He is married to our Children's Director, Garth, and they have three children - Gabi, Drew, and Lily. Jeremy's time in ministry began in the early 2000's when he participated in Master's Commission and then became a youth pastor. He moved into the secular work for about 20 years, and then felt the call back to ministry in 2023. Jeremy has a heart for youth and the many struggles they face in today's world. His goal is to equip them to love God, love people, and let their lights shine bright for Him. Jeremy continues his full-time job in IT work, and in his free time, you will find him spending time with his family, working in the yard, and studying for new IT certifications.

Garth Smith, Children's Director

Garth joined the FBCSF staff in September 2022 as our Children's Director.  Garth has been a teacher over 18  years, where she taught Kindergarten-3rd grade. Garth, served as a Library Media Specialist and is currently serving as the Instructional Coach at W.J. Carroll Intermediate School in Daphne.  She has always felt a calling on her life to work with children.  Garth has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Mobile, an M.S. in Educational Media and a K-12 School Leadership certification, both from South Alabama.  Garth and her husband Jeremy have three children-Gabi, Drew, and Lily. They love to spend time together as a family, playing board games, going to the beach, or just hanging out at home.

Lisa Baker, Media & Outreach Director

Lisa joined the FBCSF staff in August 2020 as our Media and Outreach Specialist. Lisa is married to our pastor, Robert, and she has worked with various ministries at every church they have served including students, children, women's ministries, missions, and senior adults. Lisa has a B.S. in Mathematics from Mississippi College and a M.S. in Mathematics from University of North Texas. Currently, she is enrolled in New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary working on a Masters in Counseling. In any spare time that she has, Lisa loves to relax, craft, and spend time with Robert and their daughter, Lillian.

Anne Sandberg, Administrative Assistant

Mrs. Anne was 3 years old when she and her family moved to Spanish Fort. Her parents, Lottie and Jim Brunson, were very active members of FBCSF until their deaths in 1999 and 2000. Anne accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at FBCSF at the age of 14 under Mrs. Cleo Megginson's youth ministry. She and her husband, Eric, were married here by Bro. Donald Berry in 1992.  They have two grown children: Sarah and Jimmy. Anne loves our church and is dedicated to helping it reach people for Christ.
